Volume 1 : Baby Formula (Oneness Project feat. WMD)

♫ (feel free to share it with others)
A mother calls round asking for baby formula,
Phone on speaker, hunger crying in the background,
vulnerable
No politics, no script, no time for the theatre,
Just a child and a question — does your faith deliver?
Some say “fill a form”, some say “try somewhere else”,
Some say “we can’t help”, faith left sittin on the
bookshelf
But then a door opens, no sermon, no delay,
Just “come as you are, and we’ll find a way.”
No cameras in the room when the cupboards are bare,
That’s when belief shows up, not slogans or prayers
If your God is loving, then let your love intervene,
Your soul needs feedin', just like a baby needs protein
We give ‘cause we do it for the sake of Allah,
But love don’t need a name, it’s a universal language
spoken harder
It don’t matter if you’re Jewish, Muslim or Christian,
You’re still one of us — tell us your troubles and we’ll
listen
A label means nothing when it’s the goodness within,
When people unite and help each other, we all win
She hit record, phone ringing, truth under review,
Not a debate stage, just “what would you do?”
Timelines on fire, comments split in two,
Defending institutions, this can't be true
Millions watched faith get tested in real time,
Not theology essays, just a baby cryin'
No edits, no filters, no scripture on the shelf,
Just mercy on the line and a moment to choose self
Some said “not our mission”, or “try the state”,
Some said “come tomorrow”, but hunger don’t wait
Others said “come now”, no questions, no delay,
Faith turned to action, no words left to say
This aint about blame-chasing, or culture war framing
Charity ain’t branding, charity ain’t clout,
It’s not who you exclude, it’s who you don’t turn out
If compassion’s conditional, what is it worth?
If help needs a filter, who decides your worth?
When a baby’s crying, doctrine steps aside,
Mercy is the measure of what you hold inside
We give ‘cause we do it for the sake of Allah,
Kindness don’t belong to any single father
Jew, Christian, Muslim — branches from the same root,
Same hunger, same tears, same sky, same truth
A label means nothing when it’s goodness within,
When we stand together, that’s how healing can begin
One family, one world, one test every day,
Like this experiment, love lives in action, not words we
say
